Meet the team

Richard Cooper FCA, ATII - Chairman and Managing Director

Richard Cooper qualified in 1960. He had been articled to a small firm near Charring Cross so obtained wide experience of detail. After qualifying he spent 3 years with one of the big 5 firms in the City and so added on large scale abilities.
He re-joined his original firm as a partner and following retirements of his collegues in that firm he became sole practitioner by the late 60's. His expertise is in long term relationships with family businesses, seeing the clients grow from small beginnings some to flourish, getting from Richard good tax and estate planning advice, accounts audited and day to day encouragement; other clients to falter and to have their owners helped over their difficulties.

In June 2004, Richard brought his Clients and his vast experience into Cooper Dawn Jerrom Ltd.

Michael Amos FCA - Audit and Compliance Director
After training and qualifying with a top London practice Michael joined the largest independent practice in Reading. From here he moved to Grant Thornton as an audit manager with responsibility from family owned companies to large clients.
On becoming disenchanted with large firm life, Michael left to join a leading small practice where his key area of responsibility was compliance and staff training before joining Michael Jerrom.
